About

A high‑octane, rules‑based swing strategy in tech/semis: buy dips in 3x bull ETFs, hedge or short after big pops with inverse 3x ETFs or UVXY. Bond and cash ETFs confirm risk‑on/off. Very high risk and frequent trading; meant for active traders.
NutHow it works
It trades the swings in tech/semis using 3x ETFs. When the Nasdaq looks “cold” (low RSI = a hot/cold score), it buys TECL/SOXL/HIBL. After big pops or “hot” RSI, it hedges/shorts with TECS/SOXS/HIBS or UVXY (a VIX futures fund). One‑day spikes in TQQQ/SQQQ trigger fade‑the‑extreme moves. Bond/T‑bill ETFs (BIL, SHY, IEI, TLH, etc.) act as a risk check. It can park in SHV/SHY/BIL or lean into TMF/EDV (long bonds), UGL (gold) or UUP (USD). Goal: buy dips, hedge rips.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~31% vs SPY ~22%; low beta (~0.27) and solid risk-adjusted upside (Calmar ~0.49). Drawdowns can be large (~64%), so best for active traders seeking tactical tech/semis exposure with risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
