About

A simple “safety mix”: one‑third U.S. dollar strength (UUP), one‑third gold (GLD), and one‑third consumer‑staples stocks (XLP), rebalanced daily. Designed to be calm and consistent rather than to chase big gains.
NutHow it works
It splits your money evenly across three ETFs: - UUP: goes up when the U.S. dollar strengthens versus other major currencies. - GLD: tracks the price of gold. - XLP: big consumer‑staples companies (think Coca‑Cola, Procter & Gamble). Each day it rebalances back to one‑third in each, selling a bit of what rose and buying what fell. The mix aims for steadier ups and downs than the stock market.
CheckmarkValue prop
Stronger risk-adjusted performance with far lower drawdowns. Outsample Sharpe ~2.48 vs S&P ~1.40, max drawdown ~5.4% vs ~18.8%, Calmar ~3.12. Diversified USD, gold, and consumer staples offer steadier growth than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
