About
An aggressive strategy that tries to own leveraged Nasdaq in good conditions, but switches to safer bonds, broad stocks, or a Nasdaq-short fund when market trend, momentum, or volatility turn unfavorable.
This strategy is an aggressive market-timing system built around QLD, a fund that aims to move about twice as much as the Nasdaq-100 (big growth/tech stocks).
It first checks if the overall US stock market is healthy using SPY, the S&P 500 fund. If the market trend looks strong, it usually buys QLD — unless Nasdaq looks too overheated, in which case it may switch to PSQ, a fund that rises when Nasdaq falls, or move partly into safer short-term Treasuries (SHY).
If the market trend looks weak, it becomes pickier. It may still buy QLD or SPY after a sharp selloff, hoping for a rebound. Otherwise it compares bearish Nasdaq exposure (PSQ) with SHY and holds whichever looks stronger.
It also watches Treasury-bond trends through TLT as an extra risk signal.
Dynamic regime-switching strategy seeking Nasdaq-100 upside with hedges. OOS: ~19.6% annualized return vs SPY 20.1%, Calmar 0.87, max drawdown 22.5% vs 18.8%. A SPY-complementary sleeve offering Nasdaq growth with risk controls.
