About

A long-horizon, cash-based tactical tilt that switches between a single-levered tech/bull bet and a hedged/bear set, using RSI and short‑term momentum to pick one top performer on each tilt and hold 100% in that asset until the signal changes.
NutHow it works
The strategy starts with a cash baseline. It looks for a clear signal to tilt either Bull or Bear. A Bull tilt is prompted when the broad market signal suggests oversold conditions (RSI on SPY below a threshold). In that case, it considers a pool of bullish, levered assets (notably TECL for tech) and selects the top performer over the last few days (measured by 5‑day cumulative return). That single asset is bought with 100% of the portfolio. If the Bull signal isn’t active, the Bear path is evaluated. The Bear pool includes hedges and inverse/alternative bets (e.g., TMF, TMV, UGL, TECS, UVXY, etc.). Again, the top candidate by momentum over a short window is purchased at 100%. Additional RSI checks on related tickers (XLK, XLU, DBC) refine whether to stay in a single asset or adjust the pool. There is no regular rebalancing; the system only changes position when the signal criteria are met, otherwise cash remains. The approach uses leveraged instruments to emphasize moves but increases risk, so it’s designed for a long horizon and disciplined risk tolerance.
CheckmarkValue prop
Cash-first, signals-driven tilt bets the top asset in Bull or Bear regimes. Aims to outperform SPY in favorable cycles with levered tech exposure and hedges. OOS: ~20.3% annual return, Sharpe ~0.60; note drawdowns can be large (~64%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
