This strategy first asks: is the U.S. stock market in a healthy long-term uptrend or not? If yes, it usually buys aggressive tech-focused funds, but if the market looks too “hot” it can switch to hedges that profit from falling stocks or rising fear. If no, it sometimes tries to buy sharp selloffs, and other times hides in safer areas like defensive stocks, cash-like bonds, the U.S. dollar, gold, or bearish funds.
