About

A rules-based all‑weather mix of stocks, bonds, commodities, gold, the dollar, and staples. It owns assets only in uptrends, parks in T‑bills when weak, and can hedge with inverse Nasdaq funds in bear markets. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Splits 100% across sleeves: Stocks 40%, Commodities 10% (DBC), Gold 10% (GLD), Bonds 20% (IEF/TLT/SHY/SHV), U.S. Dollar 10% (UUP), Consumer Staples 10% (XLP). Own each only when short-term averages are above longer-term ones; else hold SHV (cash-like T-bills). Uses RSI (0–100 “heat” gauge: high=hot, low=cold) to avoid chasing and buy dips. In deep selloffs it can hedge via PSQ/QID (inverse QQQ) or use QLD/USD (2× long) selectively. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Superior risk-adjusted performance: OOS Sharpe ~2.00 vs SPY ~1.32, max drawdown ~8.7% vs ~18.8%, Calmar ~1.90. Diversified, trend-following with hedges and daily rebalancing—strong growth with far less downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
