About

A daily, rules-based energy-rotation strategy that hunts for energy trends with momentum and trend signals, while actively hedging using long/short ETF exposures and cash-like vehicles to manage risk.
NutHow it works
This is a daily, rules-based system that rotates money among energy assets based on simple, observable signals. If energy prices and momentum look strong (for example, energy-related indicators are rising and short-term momentum is high), the strategy tilts toward energy bets (including some amplified bets for upside). If signals weaken, it moves toward hedges or inverse/defensive exposures to reduce risk, and it may even deprioritize energy in favor of cash-like buffers. The approach uses a few common ideas in plain terms: check how energy prices are moving lately, compare current price to short-term trends, and watch for regime shifts. It then picks a mix of assets (oil and gas proxies, energy ETFs, and risk-reducing vehicles) and rebalances roughly every day. The aim is to ride energy uptrends while having a plan to protect against sharp downturns via hedges. Note: the strategy relies on leveraged or inverse products at times, which can magnify both gains and losses and may not be suitable for all investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
