About

Own semiconductor stocks when the market trend is up; hide in short Treasuries when it’s weak; and only add leveraged semiconductor exposure during sharp tech selloffs to play for a bounce. Daily checks and switches.
NutHow it works
Checked daily. First, it looks at SPY’s trend: if SPY’s 1‑month average price is above its ~10‑month average, buy SOXX (chipmakers like Nvidia, AMD, Intel). If not, and tech (QQQ) is deeply “oversold” (RSI, a speed-of-moves gauge, <30), buy SOXL (a triple‑levered chip ETF) for a rebound. Otherwise: if SPY is above its ~1‑month average, buy SOXX; if not, park in SHY (short‑term Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside beats SPY: ~48% annualized return vs ~24% for the S&P. Strong risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~1, Sharpe ~1.04) thanks to trend-following semiconductors, selective leverage on tech dips, and built-in risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
