About
An aggressive market-timing strategy that switches between buying sharp stock-market dips in bad times and holding a leveraged stock-plus-bond growth mix in better times, with short-term Treasury bills as its safety parking spot.
This strategy first asks: has the U.S. stock market had a rough year or a calm one?
If the market has had a big drop, it becomes a “buy the dip” system. It waits for a sharp 1-week fall in the Nasdaq or S&P 500, then buys a very aggressive fund tied to that index. If there is no fresh dip—or the rebound already happened too fast—it sits in short-term Treasury bills (BIL).
If the market has been calmer, it uses an aggressive growth mix: mostly leveraged U.S. stock funds (split between the S&P 500 and tech-heavy Nasdaq) plus a leveraged long-term Treasury bond fund (TMF). If the market starts falling too quickly in the short term, it moves to BIL for safety.
Dynamic regime-switching strategy: dip-buy on sharp dips and a leveraged growth mix in rallies, with cash safety in risk-off. Out-of-sample Calmar ~0.51 over 1,299 days—aims for better risk-adjusted resilience and upside in volatility vs SPY.
