About

A two‑sleeve, volatility‑gated dip‑buyer: when the S&P 500 is calm, it buys the most “beaten‑down” pick among two 3x tech funds or Treasuries; when markets are rough, it parks in short‑term Treasuries (SHY).
NutHow it works
Two sleeves split the portfolio 50/50 and use SPY (an S&P 500 fund) as a 1‑month “weather report.” Very calm: buy the fund that has fallen most recently from TECL, TQQQ, or IEF. Somewhat calm: keep half in SHY and use the other half to buy the one that has fallen most from TECL, TQQQ, or SHY. Rough: 100% SHY. TECL/TQQQ=3x tech/Nasdaq‑100; IEF=7–10y Treasuries; SHY=1–3y Treasuries.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, regime-aware two-sleeve strategy targets outsized gains: about 65% annualized vs 22% for the S&P, with Sharpe ~1.43 and Calmar ~1.46. Expect larger drawdowns (~44% vs ~19% for SPY) but strong risk-adjusted upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
