About

A volatility-based, contrarian rotation that toggles between leveraged tech funds and US Treasuries. In calm/medium markets it buys the most recently beaten‑down option among TECL/TQQQ/IEF; as volatility rises, it shifts toward SHY and IEF.
NutHow it works
The strategy first checks how calm or choppy the S&P 500 has been over about a month. Then: - Calm: put 100% into whichever of TECL, TQQQ, or IEF has fallen the most recently (seeking a bounce). - Somewhat choppy: 50% SHY + 50% that same pick. - Very choppy: 50% SHY + 50% IEF. Trades only if weights drift >5%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~58% annualized return vs SPY ~22%, Calmar ~1.37, Sharpe ~1.39 (near SPY). Higher drawdown (~42% vs ~19%), but stronger upside in volatile markets through tech/treasury rotation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
