About

Volatility‑aware: when markets are calm it bets on short‑term rebounds in one fund (often 3× tech: TECL/TQQQ, or IEF). As volatility rises it shifts to 50% short‑term Treasuries (SHY); in high stress it holds only Treasuries (SHY+IEF).
NutHow it works
It checks how bumpy the S&P 500 (SPY) has been over ~1 month. - Calm (<~1%/day): 100% in the single fund with the lowest 0–100 “recently fallen” score (RSI): TECL or TQQQ (3× tech) or IEF (7–10yr Treasuries). - Medium (1–2%): 50% SHY (1–3yr Treasuries), 50% in that fund. - High (≥2%): 50% SHY, 50% IEF. Trades only on signal changes or ~5% drift.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~58% annualized return vs SPY's ~22%, with a ~1.39 Sharpe and ~1.37 Calmar. It shifts to Treasuries during volatility spikes, offering strong growth with risk controls—though extreme drawdowns can occur.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
