About

A rules-based, rate-driven strategy. It rides Treasury trends with leveraged ETFs, shifts to USD/gold/defensive assets when rates or stocks look shaky, adds a simple momentum mix, and uses crash rules (sometimes UVXY) to sidestep major selloffs.
NutHow it works
Three parts: 1) A rate engine flips between TMF (3x long 20‑yr Treasuries), TMV (3x short), or a safety mix (gold, US dollar, staples, market‑neutral) using TLT trends and RSI (0–100 overbought/oversold; moving average = avg price). 2) A bond sleeve rotates among Treasuries, dollar, or 3x Treasuries as rates rise/fall. 3) Momentum holds the top 2 of SPY, TLT, GLD, UUP, DBC, SHV. Crash rules may buy UVXY (volatility) or move to safety when TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) is extreme. Uses leverage; expect bigger swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy seeks safer, higher risk-adjusted gains: ~20.5% annualized vs SPY’s 23.2%, but with smaller drawdowns (15.5% vs 18.8%), beta ~0.70, Calmar 1.32. Diversified rate-cycle bets with crash protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
