About

A daily, momentum-driven picker that ranks a diverse ETF universe (leveraged growth, hedges, bonds, and dividend/yield funds) to pick a top asset. It uses RSI and other momentum/risk signals, applies regime-based rules, may replace volatile instruments with hedges, and emphasizes income via YieldMax-type ETFs. It’s a complex, dynamic, leverage-enabled strategy designed to chase trends while pruning risk through hedges and income exposures.
NutHow it works
- Every trading day, the system evaluates a universe of ETFs including leveraged tech and semis (e.g., TQQQ, SOXL), inverse/short plays (e.g., SQQQ, SOXS), volatility vehicles (UVXY), hedges (BTAL), broad-market funds (QQQ, SPY), bonds (BND, IEF, TMF, TLT), and YieldMax/option-income ETFs. - Each candidate is scored using momentum and risk signals. A key input is RSI (a momentum indicator that compares recent gains to losses). Other checks include how the asset’s price compares to moving averages, recent cumulative returns, and risk measures like drawdown and standard deviation. - A top-ranked asset is selected for investment. In many branches this means allocating a large share of capital to that asset (often near 100% within a “wt-cash-equal” framework), with other assets held in cash or light hedges according to the rules. - The strategy includes regime-based logic. If market conditions indicate high volatility or regime shifts, it may substitute UVXY with alternatives (SOXS) or tilt toward hedges (BTAL, SQQQ) or bond-heavy allocations (BND/IEF). There are explicit branches for “Huge volatility,” “Normal market,” and “Mean Rev” that adjust the mix and which assets are emphasized. - The YieldMax portion shows a secondary, income-oriented selection: among YieldMax-like ETFs that use option income or yield strategies, the top asset is chosen by RSI ranking and a sorting criterion over a 40-day window. - Rebalancing happens daily, so positions are refreshed to reflect the latest signals. - In short, the strategy is a momentum-driven, regime-aware, income-tilted, leverage-augmented framework that systematically swaps in and out among a diverse ETF universe to try to ride uptrends while controlling risk through hedges and yield-oriented positions.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
