A very aggressive market-timing strategy that swings between bullish and bearish leveraged tech/semiconductor funds, using stock and bond signals to decide when to chase rebounds, bet on pullbacks, or partially hide in cash.

This strategy constantly asks: is the market overheated, washed out, or unstable? It uses stock and bond funds as “thermometers.” If stocks look too hot, it often bets against chip stocks. If tech looks badly beaten up, it may buy chip or tech funds for a rebound. In rough markets, it often shifts to a mix of Treasury-bill cash (BIL) and a fund that rises when the Nasdaq falls (SQQQ).

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
