A cautious trading strategy that mostly tries to avoid sharp losses: it uses a hedge fund-like ETF when markets look overheated or unstable, cash during severe stress, and only takes aggressive stock exposure when conditions look favorable.

This strategy constantly asks: is the market too hot, crashing, or calm? If many stock areas have risen too fast, it moves to BTAL, a hedge fund-like ETF designed to hold up better when shaky, high-risk stocks struggle. If markets are falling hard, it may move to very short-term Treasury bills (BIL) or BTAL. In calmer periods, it mixes a bullish S&P 500 fund (UPRO), BTAL, cash-like BIL, and sometimes energy stocks (XLE), depending on trend and volatility.
