A short-term, high-risk strategy that tries to buy sharp dips in tech-heavy markets, but can switch into bonds or bearish funds when conditions look unstable.

This is a very fast-moving market-timing strategy built mostly from leveraged funds tied to tech stocks, the S&P 500, semiconductors, and Treasury bonds. First, it asks: “Has the Nasdaq been hit hard lately?” using TQQQ, a turbo-charged fund that tracks big tech. If yes, it either: • buys the most beaten-down bullish stock funds, or • after a huge one-day rebound, temporarily buys a bearish fund instead. If the market has not crashed, it compares the recent “strength” of bond funds versus stock funds. That acts like a temperature check. Based on that, it either buys recent laggards from an aggressive basket or rotates into a more defensive mix of sectors, Treasury bonds, and funds that rise when the market falls.

Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ~1.43 vs SPY ~1.24) and Calmar ~2.23, plus strong upside (~98% annualized oos). A tech-heavy, dynamic strategy aims for tech-led gains, but with larger drawdowns (~44%).
