About
Single-ETF, rules-based switcher. Uses bond trend to choose a regime: if bonds are strong, tilt to tech or defenses; if bonds are weak, hold calmer energy. Within each sleeve it buys the recent laggard or the lower-volatility choice.
1) Check if TLT (long‑term Treasuries) is above its 150‑day average price. If yes, check QQQ: if its 5‑day avg > 21‑day avg, buy the most recently dipped 3x tech/semis fund (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). If not, buy the most recently dipped defensive pick: BTAL (anti‑beta market‑neutral) or TMF/TYD (3x Treasuries).
2) If TLT is below its 150‑day avg, hold the calmer energy fund (lower 2‑week volatility) between XLE (big oil) and XOP (explorers).
Regime-aware, single-ETF strategy aiming for outsized upside. Out-of-sample: ~39% annualized return vs ~21% for S&P; Calmar ~1.38; Sharpe ~0.98. Note higher drawdowns (~28%) vs ~19% but stronger risk-adjusted upside.
