About
A daily, rules-based rotation among leveraged tech/semiconductor bets (TQQQ, SOXL), hedges (SQQQ, SOXS), and bonds/cash (BIL, TMF, USDU) using momentum and risk screens. Two paths (V1a and Base 2) with regime-based subgroups decide where to tilt, replacing UVXY with SOXS for volatility hedging.
Every trading day, the system runs a sequence of yes/no tests across a menu of funds. If signals say “go long risk assets,” it tilts toward 3x bets on tech/semiconductors (like TQQQ, TECL, SOXL) and uses hedges (SQQQ for downside, SOXS for sector hedges) when risk is rising. If signals say “protect or stay safe,” it shifts into hedges or bond/cash positions (SQQQ, BIL, TMF, USDU, etc.). There are two main paths: V1a (a big, prize-tilt toward TQQQ with occasional hedges like SQQQ/SOXS, plus regime-based subgroups such as Huge Volatility, Normal Market, Bond-focused groups) and Base 2 (a more streamlined decision to pick between SOXS and a mix of hedges/bonds depending on short-term signals). The rules use simple momentum-style checks (how strong a price trend is over the last days, whether a price is above a moving average), and risk screens (drawdowns, recent performance) to avoid loading up after losses. The system also includes a substitution note: UVXY (a volatility ETF) is not used here; SOXS takes its place in the volatility/hedge logic. The overall aim is to grow in favorable markets using high-leverage bets while damping losses in tougher markets by moving into hedges and safety assets, with daily rebalancing and explicit weight rules that push one path more than others when conditions are strong. In plain terms: it’s a busy, signal-driven rotation among aggressive tech bets, bearish sector hedges, and safe bonds/cash, recalibrated every day based on how the market is behaving right now.
Daily, rules-based rotation among leveraged tech bets, hedges, and bonds targets big upside with built-in risk controls. Out-of-sample: ~51% annualized return vs ~21% for SPY, Calmar ~1.16, and disciplined hedges to protect in volatile markets.
