About
A simple daily switch. If cash (BIL) beats the S&P 500 (SPY) over ~60 days, hold a defensive mix of utilities, gold, and energy. Otherwise, go aggressive with 3× S&P 500 (UPRO) and 3× Nasdaq‑100 (TQQQ). Equal‑weighted, rebalanced daily.
Every day it asks: “Have short‑term T‑bills (BIL, a cash‑like fund) done as well as or better than the S&P 500 (SPY) over the last ~60 days?”
- If yes (stocks are weak), split money equally into: VPU (utilities), GLD (gold), XLE (energy).
- If no (stocks are strong), split equally into: UPRO (3× S&P 500) and TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100).
Rebalanced daily.
Offers higher upside than SPY through a simple risk-on/risk-off switch. In out-of-sample testing, annualized return is ~39% vs ~21% for SPY, with defensive diversification (utilities/gold/energy) that helps control drawdowns.
