About
Fast, tactical rotation that buys volatility when stocks look overheated, buys leveraged tech when beaten up, and otherwise rides trends or hides in bonds, commodities, dividends, or cash. Very high risk; aims to catch quick pops and limit big drawdowns.
Rules-based switcher. It watches a short‑term “speedometer” (RSI, 0–100). Hot readings (~80) on major stock indexes/sectors => buy UVXY (a fund that jumps when fear spikes). Cold (~30) => buy leveraged tech (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL) for rebounds. Normal: ride tech uptrends; if volatility rises or bonds beat stocks, shift to Treasuries (TMF/TMV), dividends (SCHD/DGRO), commodities (DBC), or cash (BIL). Uses very leveraged, high‑risk ETFs; expect big swings.
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher upside and better risk-adjusted performance than the S&P: ~69% annualized return vs ~22%, Sharpe ~1.63 vs ~1.42, Calmar ~2.70; alpha ~0.36. It uses agile volatility/tech rotations, with larger drawdowns.
