About

Rules-based swing trader for tech/semis. It buys 3x bull ETFs on dips and shifts to volatility or inverse funds (or safe assets) when markets are overheated or fearful, using RSI, short-term moves, the VIX, and bond/credit trends.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules-based switch. It watches: 1) RSI (a 0–100 “hot/cold” score), 2) recent pops/drops, 3) the fear index (VIX), and 4) Treasury trends. • If fear cools and prices look cheap, it buys 3x tech/semis (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). • If markets look too hot or fear rises, it flips to UVXY (a VIX bet), inverse tech (SQQQ/TECS/SOXS), or T‑Bills/bonds/gold/dividends.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted performance vs SPY: Sharpe ~1.67 vs 1.41, Calmar ~2.57, and annualized return ~91% vs ~23%. Tech/semis tilt with volatility hedges seeks bigger upside with controlled risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
