About
A fast-moving, high-risk strategy that tries to ride strong stock trends, buy sharp dips, and jump into fear-related or defensive funds when markets look overheated or unstable.
This is an aggressive market-timing strategy. It constantly checks whether stocks look overheated, weak, or panicky using recent price-move signals.
If markets look stretched, it often buys UVXY, a fund that usually rises when fear spikes. Otherwise it rotates among leveraged tech/stock funds, dividend funds, bonds, gold, commodities, and other defensive holdings. In calm periods it often buys market dips; in dangerous periods it shifts toward volatility or safer assets.
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted return and diversification vs the S&P 500. Sharpe ~1.65 vs 1.37, Calmar ~3.05, and ~71% annualized return vs ~21%, beta ~0.87. More upside with hedges, aiming to limit drawdowns.
