About
A daily, rules-based tech strategy that owns QQQ in uptrends, steps into Treasuries when markets get “too hot,” and uses cash, inverse, or leveraged ETFs in choppy/down markets—plus contrarian shorts after extreme spikes, especially in semiconductors.
What it trades: tech-heavy Nasdaq and semiconductors plus Treasuries. Tickers: QQQ=Nasdaq‑100; QLD=2x long QQQ; QID=−2x short; PSQ=−1x short; SMH=semis; USD=2x semis; SOXS=−3x semis; TLT/IEF/SHV=long/med/very short Treasuries; SPY=S&P 500 guide.
Each day it checks trend (price vs 200‑day average) and a heat meter (RSI, 0–100: hot≈>80, cold≈<30). In uptrends it mostly holds QQQ, but if things get too hot it parks in Treasuries. In choppy/down markets it cuts risk, may use cash-like Treasuries or inverse funds; after big drops it can use leverage to play rebounds.
High upside with a clear risk-adjusted edge: out-of-sample annualized return 38.2%, Calmar 1.65, Sharpe 1.22, and positive alpha vs the S&P. Slightly larger drawdowns (~23% vs ~19%) are rewarded by bigger rallies and Treasury hedging.
