About

A complex, rules-based, cash-heavy strategy blending Bitcoin ETF signals with a leveraged Nasdaq/S&P regime switch, using RSI and momentum checks to tilt between bear/bull selectors and a 2x QQQ block, with leverage- and volatility-based hedges.
NutHow it works
A rules-driven system that splits capital mainly into cash, with two active sub-strategies: - Bitcoin block (BITI vs BITO): uses signals derived from the relative strength and momentum of Bitcoin ETFs and a Bitcoin proxy (like MicroStrategy) to decide when to tilt toward the Bitcoin bears (BITI) or toward Bitcoin exposure (BITO/MSTR). - 2x QQQ FTLT block: a leveraged equity module that toggles between bear and bull stock selectors conditioned on momentum and risk signals. It uses a volatility hedge (UVXY) and selects among Nasdaq/S&P ETFs (QID, SDS, QLD, SSO, TQQQ, QQQ) based on short lookback indicators and a drawdown filter against SPY. Overall weights are cash-heavy, with a specific 40% allocation to the 2x QQQ FTLT tranche when activated. Rebalance is not scheduled; adjustments occur when the nested rules fire within a 0.1 (10%) corridor. The intent is to chase momentum through leverage during favorable regimes while holding back and hedging during riskier times.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~30.5% annualized return vs SPY ~21.8%, driven by Nasdaq momentum and crypto signals with cash hedges. Expect higher volatility and drawdowns (up to ~40%), but potential for meaningful upside beyond the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
