About

A rules‑based switcher: if bonds look healthy, own income‑oriented stocks (JEPI) plus a high‑octane kicker (HIBL). If bonds look weak, pick the more beaten‑down choices among defensive/inflation and rates‑hedge pairs (BTAL or UGL, and DBMF or TMV).
NutHow it works
First it asks: have regular U.S. bonds (BND) beaten betting against Treasuries (TBX) over ~10 trading days? If yes, it splits between JEPI (income‑focused U.S. stocks with options) and HIBL (very aggressive 3x high‑beta U.S. stocks). If not, it splits between two pairs, picking the weaker of each by a simple 0–100 strength score (RSI): BTAL vs UGL, and DBMF vs TMV. Lower score = more beaten‑down; it buys those.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows ~44% annualized return vs SPY's ~23.7%, with Calmar ~1.20 and positive alpha. A regime-switching mix—income, high/anti-beta, gold, and trend tools—offers stronger upside and diversification, but with higher drawdowns and complexity.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
