About

A tactical switch: if bonds are trending better than betting against them, own JEPI + 3x high‑beta stocks. If not, own two defensive picks (one of gold/anti‑beta and one of managed‑futures/inverse‑Treasuries), choosing the more oversold in each pair.
NutHow it works
It first checks the past‑10‑day average returns of BND (US bonds) vs TBX (bet against 7–10Y Treasuries). If BND is doing better, it goes “risk‑on”: 50% JEPI (stock income fund using options) + 50% HIBL (3x high‑beta stocks). Otherwise it goes “defense”: pick the more “oversold” (lower 12‑day RSI—a 0–100 heat gauge of recent moves) from BTAL (anti‑beta long/short) vs UGL (2x gold), and from DBMF (managed futures) vs TMV (3x inverse long Treasuries), then split 50/50.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~44% vs S&P ~23.7%; Sharpe ~1.26; Calmar ~1.20. Regime-switching captures upside with JEPI + HIBL and hedges risks. Note: higher drawdown (~37%) due to leverage—suited for higher risk tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
