Each day it asks: Is SPY above its 200‑day average (an uptrend)? If yes and tech isn’t washed‑out (a simple 0–100 “strength” score called RSI is >30), it owns the stronger of SPY (S&P 500) or SMH (semis); if tech is washed‑out, it holds XLK (tech). If no, it rotates into XLP (staples), XLE (energy), SPYV (value) and a crisis playbook that can use BTAL (market‑neutral), USDU (U.S. dollar), PDBC/OILK (commodities), GDXJ (gold miners).
