About

A multi‑layer, RSI‑driven tactical strategy using leveraged ETFs to chase momentum in tech/biotech while hedging with inverse/bear funds. It blends several sub‑portfolios with fixed weights and may swap UVXY for SOXS to manage volatility.
NutHow it works
RSI is a momentum metric that helps judge if an asset has recent strength or weakness. The system first compares bond strength to tech strength (bond RSI vs tech RSI over about 10 days). If bonds look stronger, it picks one top short-term momentum bet from a pool of leveraged ETFs (like TECL, UPRO, SOXX, LABU, etc.) to own, using a 4‑day momentum rank and a 15‑day lookback. If not, it hedges with inverse/bear ETFs (PSQ, SQQQ, TMV, DRV, etc.). This rule is repeated across several themed baskets with different asset pools, and the resulting positions are blended by preset weights (e.g., 70/100 total exposure to the main baskets, with other baskets contributing smaller shares). It also swaps volatility exposure (UVXY) for SOXS in some paths. Expect frequent rebalancing and high leverage, with notable risk in rapidly changing markets.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~49% annualized return vs ~21% for the S&P, Calmar ~1.54, indicating strong risk-adjusted upside. RSI-driven, leverage-enabled tactical mix with hedges seeks higher growth and diversified protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
