A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily tactical swing strategy. It flips between high‑growth tech/semis and crash protection (VIX, inverse Nasdaq), guided by simple “hot/cold” readings and bond‑market cues, plus a small Bitcoin sleeve that usually shorts in weak trends.
NutHow it works
- Each day it checks if the market looks “hot” or “cold” using simple heat gauges (RSI) and short‑ vs long‑term trends. - If stocks look overheated, it buys crash protection (VIX funds) or inverse tech. If they look washed‑out and bonds look calm, it buys high‑octane tech/semis. - Bond ETFs act as a “voting booth” to confirm risk‑on vs risk‑off. - A small sleeve shorts Bitcoin when momentum weakens and can flip to a Bitcoin‑sensitive stock (MSTR) when momentum turns up.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~28.9% annualized vs S&P 24.4%, aided by hedges and growth tilts in up markets. Strong upside with diversification, but expect larger drawdowns in stressed markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
