About
A cautious market-timing strategy that sometimes uses 3x stock and bond funds in good markets, but often moves to T-bills or short-term bonds and only buys sharp dips when conditions look risky.
This strategy checks the US stock market every day and asks: is the market calm or turbulent, strong or weak, overheated or falling hard?
In good conditions, it often buys aggressive 3x stock funds tied to the S&P 500 or Nasdaq, sometimes mixed with a 3x long-bond fund.
In rough conditions, it usually hides in very short-term Treasury funds, and only buys after sharp market dips. A separate sleeve mostly sits in short-term bonds, but can buy a volatility fund as a crash hedge when markets look stretched.
Out-of-sample annualized return ~20% vs SPY ~20%; Calmar ~0.714 with built-in hedges—cash, volatility hedge, regime-aware leverage—providing diversified risk management and resilience beyond the S&P.
