About
A barbell of safe bonds and tactical tech: half in Treasuries, the rest buys 2x Nasdaq on deep dips, hides in bonds when volatility spikes, or holds defensive staples/SVOL. A tactical sleeve flips QLD↔long Treasuries and may park in USD.
It splits your money into two sleeves. Core: ~50% sits in 7–10y US Treasuries. The other half is dynamic: buy 2x Nasdaq (QLD) when it’s very “washed out” (RSI: a 0–100 gauge of recent moves; low = washed out). If markets get very bumpy, park in Treasuries; if calm, hold defensive consumer‑staples stocks and an income fund (SVOL).
Tactical: After sharp drops or bumpy markets, it quickly flips between QLD and long Treasuries. Otherwise, it buys dips or parks in a US‑dollar fund, based on whether bonds look stronger than bearish tech.
Out-of-sample, this strategy offers better risk-adjusted performance than the S&P 500: higher Sharpe and much lower drawdown, positive alpha, lower beta, plus tactical tech exposure for upside.
