About

Daily, multi-basket, levered ETF system that toggles between aggressive long bets (tech/semiconductors and broad market 3x ETFs) and defensive hedges (bear ETFs, bonds, volatility hedges) using short-term momentum and price-extreme signals to pick one basket and allocate 100% to it.
NutHow it works
- Every day the system re-evaluates a large set of signals to decide which basket to hold. Think of each basket as a different recipe combining levered bets on tech, semiconductors, and broad stock exposure with hedges and safe bets. - When market momentum looks positive and not overly stretched, the system tends to allocate to levered long bets (examples: TECL, TQQQ, SOXL, SPXL, UPRO) to target amplified gains. - When signals show risk or overextension to the upside, the system shifts toward hedges and safety: bear or inverse ETFs (SOXS, SPXS, SQQQ), bond-like positions (SHY, BIL), and longer-dated treasuries (TMF) or cash-like exposure, sometimes with a hedging overlay using VXX. - The rules often pick a single top or bottom performer from a group based on short-term momentum (e.g., moving-average returns or a momentum-like score) and then overweight that instrument within the basket. Some branches require checks against volatility extremes (VXX) to time hedges. - The baskets also include defensive, diversified exposures to non-US markets and sectors (like EWZ, EEM, EFA, IYK) to provide diversification if US momentum flags a rotation. - The approach is very tactical and risk-aware: there are explicit calls to test for “extremely overbought/oversold” conditions and to consult bond markets before taking on long risk, plus explicit safety nets (e.g., short-term treasuries, cash equivalents) to temper drawdowns. - The end result is a daily choice of one complete basket, with the system attempting to keep you always positioned, but in a way that toggles between aggressive levered bets and protective hedges depending on the signals. In plain language: it’s a complex, daily-made game of “where should we put the risk today?” using a large catalog of levered ETFs and hedges to chase upside while trying to limit downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
