About

A daily, rules-based swing strategy focused on 3x tech/semiconductor ETFs. It buys dips, shorts rips, and uses bond/commodity signals to choose offense vs defense. Uses VIX spikes as hedges and prefers K‑1–free funds. Very aggressive; for traders only.
NutHow it works
Each day the rules pick between 3x tech/semiconductor “up” funds and their “down” counterparts. It buys after sharp pullbacks, takes shorts or VIX exposure after hot rallies, and uses the bond and commodity trend to dial risk up or down. Cash-like T‑bill funds are used when defensive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this 3x tech/semis strategy targets ~57% annualized returns vs SPY’s ~24%, with Calmar 1.67 and alpha ~0.34—an aggressive edge on the S&P, albeit with higher drawdowns and a softer Sharpe.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
