About

A daily, rules‑based strategy that rotates between leveraged tech/semiconductor trades, QQQ, and defensive dollar/commodity/anti‑beta positions using simple “heat” and trend signals from stocks, bonds, and the U.S. dollar.
NutHow it works
Each day it follows simple rules. If 7–10yr Treasuries look stronger than cash, it trades semiconductors: usually SOXL (3x bull), but flips to SOXS (3x bear) when things look “too hot.” If the S&P 500 is extremely washed out, it makes a short tech/semis bet (bull or bear) using a quick bonds‑vs‑high‑beta check. Otherwise, long‑bond and U.S. dollar trends decide: hold QQQ (big tech), a defensive mix (USDU = long dollar; BTAL = long low‑risk/short high‑risk), or one lower‑drawdown pick among USDU, PDBC (commodities), OILK (oil), XLB (materials), GDXJ (gold miners). RSI = a 0–100 heat gauge of recent up vs down days.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~44% vs S&P ~25%; Calmar ~1.49; max drawdown ~29.6% vs ~18.8%. A rules-based macro-rotation with leveraged tech exposure seeks larger upside across regimes, with disciplined risk management.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
