About

A daily, rules‑based swing strategy that rotates between leveraged tech/semiconductors and defensive plays (USD, commodities, market‑neutral) using simple “heat” (RSI) and trend checks from bonds, the dollar, and stocks. Uses K‑1‑free commodity funds.
NutHow it works
Daily, it flips between fast tech/semis and safer dollar/commodities/market‑neutral using two cues: Heat (RSI: 0–100; higher=hotter) and Trend (price vs moving avgs). If longer Treasuries beat T‑Bills, it trades semis: long unless too hot, then short. If the S&P is very cold, it makes a brief tech/semis bet. Else: strong bonds+strong USD → pick a sturdy USD/commodity/materials/gold ETF; weak USD or steady QQQ → buy QQQ; stressed bonds+weak QQQ → hold USD/BTAL or, if TIP>STIP, use 2x QQQ/S&P.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~37% annualized return vs SPY ~25%, Calmar ~1.25, but max drawdown ~30% vs ~19%. A simple, rules-based rotation between leveraged tech/semis and defensive assets aims for bigger long‑run gains with disciplined risk vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
