A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

Rules-driven, tech-heavy trend strategy: ride big uptrends with leveraged ETFs (e.g., TQQQ) and quickly cut risk to cash, Treasuries, or volatility hedges (VXX/UVXY) when prices overheat, volatility spikes, or the trend breaks. High risk; built for automation.
NutHow it works
It watches three things: trend (20- & 200-day averages), momentum/heat (RSI: 0–100; high=hot, low=cold), and volatility (VIX via VXX/UVXY). In uptrends it holds leveraged tech/market funds like TQQQ/TECL/SPXL. If prices overheat or volatility jumps, it shifts to cash (BIL) or VXX. If trend weakens or drops are large, it moves to Treasuries (TLT/TMF) or inverse funds (PSQ/SQQQ). It scales in/out as signals change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Leverage-driven tech uptrends, paired with rapid risk-off hedges, delivering ~37% annualized return (out-of-sample) vs ~19.6% for the S&P, though with larger drawdowns (~36% vs ~19%). Strong upside capture with disciplined risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
