About

A daily “gold bug” strategy that rotates among leveraged gold/miner longs, inverse shorts, and cash-like ETFs using simple trend (moving averages) and overbought/oversold (RSI) signals.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily, tactical gold plan. First it asks if gold (GLD) is trending up using 30 vs 40‑day averages. It then buys dips when “oversold” (RSI: a 0–100 hot/cold gauge; <30 = oversold, >70 = overbought) using UGL (2x gold) or NUGT (2x miners). When things look overheated, it may switch to inverse miner funds like DUST/JDST—but only if they’re in short‑term uptrends; otherwise it parks in T‑Bills (BIL/SHV/SHY). If gold isn’t trending up, it may short gold (GLL), or hold UUP (US dollar), SPYV (value stocks), or SVXY (short VIX) when those are working.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
