About

Daily, it’s mostly 90% in 3× tech (TQQQ) when the S&P 500 trends up or after a sharp selloff; otherwise it shifts to a defensive 60/40 mix of low‑vol stocks (SPLV) and bonds (AGG). Very aggressive when risk‑on; more conservative when trend is weak.
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at the S&P 500 (SPY). If the last 5 trading days are worse than -5%, it “buys the dip” with 90% in TQQQ (a 3× tech-heavy Nasdaq fund) and 10% in SHY (short-term Treasuries). Otherwise, if SPY’s 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), it uses the same TQQQ/SHY mix. If not, it goes defensive: 60% SPLV (low‑vol stocks) and 40% AGG (core bonds). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~38.8% vs SPY ~23.7%, with Calmar ~0.72; strong upside with controlled downside through risk-on/risk-off shifts (90% TQQQ in uptrends/dips, 60/40 SPLV/AGG in range).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
