About

Daily “risk‑on/risk‑off” switch: use leveraged big‑tech (TQQQ) in uptrends or after sharp drops; otherwise hold low‑vol stocks (SPLV) and bonds (AGG). Seeks to beat SPY with higher risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks SPY (S&P 500). - If SPY fell more than 5% over the last 5 trading days, “buy the dip”: 90% TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100, mostly big tech) + 10% SHY (short‑term US Treasuries). - Else if SPY’s 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day (uptrend), use the same 90/10. - Otherwise go defensive: 60% SPLV (steadier S&P 500 stocks) + 40% AGG (broad US bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 37.28% annualized return vs SPY’s 23.66%, driven by aggressive tech exposure in uptrends or dips. Potential for substantially higher gains, but with much larger drawdowns (~54% vs ~19%) and higher risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
