About

A rules-based, Tesla‑centered swing strategy. It uses a tech trend gauge (TQQQ) and “buy the dip/sell the rip” rules to rotate among TSLA, leveraged semiconductor ETFs (SOXL/SOXS), volatility (UVXY), and bond/US$ hedges.
NutHow it works
Trend: TQQQ above/below its ~200‑day average sets risk ON/OFF. Risk ON: after a big 6‑day drop, buy what’s most oversold (SOXL=3x semis up or TBF=short long bonds). If a huge 1‑day bounce, hedge briefly (SOXS=3x semis down or UVXY=volatility). Otherwise ride TSLA, sometimes with bonds/USD (EDV, LQD, BIL, UUP). Risk OFF: if TSLA still rising, hold TSLA/TIPS (STIP/VTIP); if falling, go defensive/short (SOXS or BSV). RSI = a quick “recent strength” score (low=cold, high=hot).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return 51.8% vs SPY 23.6%; Sharpe 0.95; drawdowns larger (50% vs 19%). A Tesla/semis–driven, trend-following strategy with dynamic hedges aims for big upside with risk controls; may outperform in tech cycles.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
