A market-timing strategy that takes more stock and tech risk in strong market eras, but shifts into bonds, defensive stocks, or even bearish positions when long-term trends weaken.

This strategy first decides whether the U.S. stock market is in a long strong period or a long weak period by comparing long-term trends in the S&P 500. In strong periods, it mainly owns U.S. stocks and sometimes leans harder into tech. In weak periods, it shifts toward Treasury bonds and defensive stocks, and can even bet against tech. It also checks whether the market looks overheated, oversold, or unusually volatile before choosing how aggressive to be.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers.
