About

A quarterly, rules‑based “risk‑on/risk‑off” plan. It reads bonds (BND, TLT) versus T‑bills (BIL) to judge the backdrop, then rotates into preset aggressive, defensive, or inverse ETFs chosen by a short‑term hot/cold (RSI) check.
NutHow it works
Once a quarter it checks bonds to read risk. • Risk test: if BND (broad US bonds) beat BIL (1–3mo T‑bills), it’s risk‑on. Put 70% into four aggressive funds (3x tech/semis/fin/long‑Treasury) ranked by lowest 10‑day RSI (a short‑term “hot vs cold” score; lower = recently cooled). • Else it’s risk‑off: use TLT vs BIL to tell if rates are rising (favor inverse Treasuries/stocks, staples, energy + some USD) or falling (favor S&P/Nasdaq/health care, Treasuries, gold). Optional 30% anti‑beta sleeve mirrors this.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~30% vs SPY ~22.6%, driven by disciplined quarterly risk-on/off rotation and a contrarian low-RSI picker. Higher upside with explicit regime rules and risk controls, not a passive S&P 500 bet.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
