About
A weekly, aggressive strategy that usually holds 1 strong stock plus Eli Lilly, but shifts into market hedges or short-term bonds when the market looks too hot or starts dropping fast.
Each week, the strategy asks: Is the market running too hot? Is it falling hard? If not, it buys the single stock with the strongest recent trend from a watchlist of companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Costco, and Berkshire.
It puts 70% there and 30% into Eli Lilly when conditions are calm. If markets look overheated, it may switch to a fund that rises when the S&P 500 falls, a volatility fund, or short-term Treasury bonds for safety.
Rules-based weekly momentum core with hedges offers diversification and risk control. Out-of-sample: 13.4% annualized vs SPY 18.2%; Sharpe 0.50 vs 1.13. A disciplined, regime-aware profile designed to complement SPY in a broader portfolio.
