About
A daily market-timing strategy that shifts between Nasdaq, broad U.S. stocks, bearish tech funds, and short-term Treasuries based on long-term trend and short-term overbought/oversold signals.
The strategy checks the market every day and asks: is the overall U.S. stock market in a healthy uptrend, or not?
If yes, it usually owns U.S. stocks. If big tech looks extremely overheated, it briefly bets against tech instead.
If no, it looks for sharp selloffs that may bounce. Otherwise, it mixes between tech stocks, a fund that rises when tech falls, and short-term Treasury bonds depending on how weak or strong Nasdaq looks.
Out-of-sample edge: ~20.63% annual return with 14.1% max drawdown vs S&P 20.14%/18.8%, beta ~0.83, Calmar ~1.46. Lower market risk with similar/better upside, via daily trend-timing across stocks, Nasdaq, and hedges.
