About
A tactical TQQQ strategy: ride Nasdaq uptrends, but when signals say “too hot” or “trend weak,” shift to hedges (inverse/volatility) or bonds. Uses simple trend and a 0–100 “hot/cold” score (RSI) to buy dips and step aside during stress.
Goal: ride big Nasdaq uptrends (TQQQ=3x Nasdaq‑100) and cut risk fast when conditions look bad.
Regime: if S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average → risk‑on; else risk‑off.
Signal: RSI(10)=0–100 “hot/cold” score (≈80 too hot, ≈30 washed out).
Risk‑on: mostly TQQQ; if too hot or after big spikes, briefly hedge with UVXY (volatility) or SQQQ (inverse Nasdaq).
Risk‑off: buy dips in tech (TECL/SOXL/TQQQ) only when washed out; otherwise use hedges (SQQQ/SOXS) or bonds (TLT/BSV/IEF/SHY/SUB). Sometimes uses QLD (2x) or a small “fund surfing” dip‑buy. 3x ETFs swing fast.
Out-of-sample: ~74% annualized return vs ~21.7% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.70 and Sharpe ~1.30. It rides Nasdaq uptrends with simple RSI/trend rules and fast hedges to limit losses—higher upside with disciplined risk control.
