A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rules‑based strategy that flips between leveraged stock ETFs in uptrends, “buy‑the‑dip” entries on pullbacks, and crash defenses (cash, long‑volatility, or short ETFs). A bond/rates overlay and occasional commodities aim to adapt across regimes. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Every day it checks: trend, volatility, recent drops, and interest‑rate direction. If stocks are trending up and calm, it owns 3x stock funds (Nasdaq/S&P/semis). On sharp drops, it buys short‑term dips. If panic hits, it moves to T‑bills, long‑volatility, or short stocks. Bonds flip between long Treasuries (falling rates) and dollar/inverse bonds (rising rates).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 23.34% annualized vs SPY 23.03%. Levered exposure aims to amplify upside in uptrends; adaptive hedges guard during stress. Potential to outperform tech-led rallies, but expect larger drawdowns (~55%) in crashes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
