About

A simple switcher that watches recent 5-day losses, then moves into either the stock market (SPY) or one of two leveraged long-bond funds: TMF or TMV.
NutHow it works
This strategy mainly tries to trade big moves in long-term U.S. government bonds using two high-risk funds: TMF bets bond prices will rise, and TMV bets they will fall. It first checks whether recent losses have been unusually large. If stock-market losses have stayed fairly calm, it can sit in SPY (a fund tracking the S&P 500). Otherwise it chooses between TMF and TMV based on which has been holding up better over the last 5 trading days.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-based SPY/bond rotation: stay in SPY when markets are calm, switch to TMF/TMV during stress. Diversified exposure with beta ~0.87. Out-of-sample: ~18.8% annualized return and Sharpe ~0.89 vs SPY ~21.95%/1.37 — different risk drivers and diversification potential.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
