About

A tactical, QQQ‑centric plan that fades big one‑day jumps. After sharp drops it buys fast‑moving tech/semis/biotech funds; after spikes it briefly shorts. When moves aren’t extreme, it mostly holds QQQ using a simple trend rule. Very volatile.
NutHow it works
Each day it reacts to QQQ’s 1‑day move. Big drop (≤−2.5%): buy the most beaten‑up of TQQQ (3x QQQ), SOXL (3x semis), or LABU (3x biotech) using a 5‑day RSI (0–100 “hot/cold” gauge); for milder drops, pair with a small hedge in UVXY/VIXM (volatility), UUP (U.S. dollar), or SHY (T‑bills). Big surge (≥+3.1%): shift to SQQQ/SOXS/LABD (3x inverse), sometimes paired with SHY. If no extreme move: own QQQ in uptrends (S&P above 200‑day avg); in downtrends hold SHY or a small QQQ short, buying dips.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return ≈39% vs SPY ≈23%; Calmar ≈1.30 indicates strong risk-adjusted performance. Tactical QQQ tilt with volatility hedges aims to capture big tech moves; note max drawdown ≈30% vs SPY ≈19%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
