About

Daily tactic: if Beyond Meat’s short‑term momentum beats Raytheon’s, buy a 3× bullish semiconductor ETF (SOXL); if not, consider a 3× bearish one (SOXS). A drawdown filter on SMH can override and move to UUP (US dollar) instead.
NutHow it works
Each day it compares 1‑week momentum of Beyond Meat (BYND) vs Raytheon (RTX) using RSI, a 0–100 score of recent strength; higher = “hotter.” If BYND is hotter, it leans bullish semiconductors (SOXL). If RTX is hotter, it leans bearish (SOXS). A safety check looks at how badly semis (SMH) have dropped lately (max drawdown over 10 vs 2 days). If the check fails, it parks in UUP (a US dollar ETF).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~65% annualized return vs SPY ~25%, Calmar ~1.81. Momentum-driven semis with a drawdown gate aims for big upside while capping losses—yet involves higher volatility and 3x leverage risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
